Jules' first cold

Poor little Jules got his first cold on Friday, 12 March. He was most unhappy about it, and did not sleep well that night. He seemed quite anxious and upset about the fact that he could not breathe easily, which is completely understandable. On Saturday he cried a lot, and the best thing we did was take him out to the African cultural festival where the people watching distracted him. Then, he fell asleep to the (loud) drummers from Burundi!

Now it's Tuesday, and he's on the mend. Still a bit congested and snotty. The nasal aspirator works wonders, but I must say Jules does not appreciate the process of being aspirated! He hates it. Although he is starting to make connections between lots of things in life at the moment, he has not yet made the connection that after being aspirated, he can breathe a whole lot better.

Speaking of connections, Jules now understands that if he pulls on the handle to his toy, it makes a fun noise. Here is a video of him trying it out. Action - reaction.
