Back in Auckland! And back to the blog.
Steve, Jules and I had a great Christmas holiday. We were up north from the 24th of December to the 8th of January. Jules did extremely well with being in different places, and meeting lots of new people. We kept him on his nap and feeding schedule, and as a consequence, he was a happy baby! And we were happy, mostly well-rested parents!
Here are some photos and videos

Steve with Jules and his cousin, London-Rose, on Christmas day.
Jules and I ready to go swimming at Taipa, on December 30th. Doesn't he look cute?! He was very serious as soon as he got his sunglasses on, as he is a bit distressed by having something on his face, and having his vision altered. But he's got to wear them, as the sun here is so harsh. I am trying to get him u
sed to them before he can pull them off himself!
The video shows Jules' first swim in the ocean. He wasn't super enthusiastic, as the water was quite cold (especially compared to his bath)! And on reflection, we should have sat him in the sand first, and then tried to dip him in the water.
Once we realised the dipping in the water wasn't his favourite thing, Steve sat down with him on the sand, and let the tail ends of the waves wash over him. That seemed to be OK. But it was a serious business. No smiles! The sun, sand and sound of the waves were all new and a little scary. But mum and dad were there to reassure him.
And then he got wrapped up all snug after his swim.
Here we are at Taipa Bay Resort
